Job summary

Prestige Talent Partners is assisting a privately owned law firm with an excellent reputation to strengthen its housing disrepair department in Manchester. The role is office-based with flexible working hours.

The Housing Disrepair Solicitor will handle claimant disrepair matters, require a strong understanding of housing law, and ideally include litigation experience within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' experience in housing disrepair.
• Strong understanding of housing law and procedure, as well as landlord and tenant law.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong client service skills

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and representation to claimants with housing disrepair issues
• Conduct investigations into housing disrepair claims
• Negotiate settlements with landlords and property managers

We are working with a privately owned law firm, established almost 30 years ago who have an excellent reputation in the areas of law in which they practice.

In order to continue their development they are looking to strengthen their housing disrepair department, and are looking for a Housing Disrepair Solicitor. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of housing law and experience in dealing with complex, claimant disrepair claims, ideally including litigation

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and representation to claimants who are having issues with housing disrepair
• Conduct investigations into housing disrepair claims
• Negotiate settlements with landlords and property managers
• Prepare and file court documents
• Represent clients at hearings and trials
