Oculus Legal Group is a well-established specialist litigation practice seeking a Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join its growing Housing Litigation team. The role offers high-quality work, clear career progression and one of the strongest bonus structures in the market.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives (CILEX) or highly experienced Housing Disrepair Fee Earners.
• NQ+ Solicitors with Housing Disrepair experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume caseload of housing disrepair claims from inception through to conclusion.
• Draft Letters of Claim and other legal documentation.
• Review housing records and surveyor reports to assess liability.
• Negotiate settlements and advise clients throughout the litigation process.
• Issue court proceedings where necessary.
• Liaise with counsel, experts and other third parties.
• Deliver excellent client care within a fast-paced litigation environment.

A well-established and rapidly expanding specialist litigation firm is looking to appoint a Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join its growing Housing Litigation team. The Role

The successful candidate will manage a high-volume caseload of pre and post-litigated housing disrepair claims from inception through to conclusion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own caseload of housing disrepair claims.
• Handling matters in accordance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Conditions Claims.
• Drafting Letters of Claim and other legal documentation.
• Reviewing housing records and surveyor reports to assess liability.
• Negotiating settlements and advising clients throughout the litigation process.
• Issuing court proceedings where necessary.
• Liaising with counsel, experts and other third parties.
• Delivering excellent client care while working within a fast-paced litigation environment.

About You

The firm is keen to hear from:

• Qualified Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives (CILEX) or highly experienced Housing Disrepair Fee Earners.
• NQ+ Solicitors with relevant Housing Disrepair experience.
• Candidates from fast-paced litigation backgrounds such as Housing Disrepair, Personal Injury, RTA or other high-volume civil litigation.
• Lawyers who are confident managing a busy caseload and working to deadlines.
• Individuals with excellent organisational, communication and case management skills.
