An established industry player is seeking a Locum Housing Disrepair Lawyer to join their team on a predominantly remote basis. This full-time role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload within Housing Litigation and Disrepair matters. You will be responsible for managing cases from pre-litigation through to litigation, ensuring compliance with legal protocols, and representing the Council in court. Locum Housing Disrepair Lawyer – Predominantly Remote Working – Up to £50 per hour – Full Time – Midlands

Position: Locum Housing Disrepair Lawyer

Organisation: Midlands

Duration: Initial 3+ months, rolling contract

Working Pattern: Predominantly Remote working

Working Arrangement: Full-time

Hourly Rate: Up to £50 per hour Umbrella

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and will have a broad working understanding of Housing Litigation and Disrepair matters to deal with a varied caseload.

Duties may include:

• Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Housing Disrepair
• Manage Housing Disrepair cases at all stages of Pre-Litigation/Litigation
• Ensure compliance with the Housing Disrepair Pre-Action Protocol
• Advise on the management of risk on complex and contentious legal issues
• Represent the Council in court and conduct advocacy where appropriate
• Negotiate and draft complex and sensitive agreements and documents in the area of Housing Disrepair and provide clear case strategy on cases
