Overview

Housing Development Team Leader (RP0147). Starting salary £55,051 with progression to £58,445 through annual increments. 37 hours (hybrid working).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Housing Development team to identify opportunities and manage a robust delivery pipeline.
• Drive the council's delivery of affordable homes—whether through direct development, strategic acquisitions, or partnerships with registered providers and developers.
• Ensure projects align with strategic priorities and manage a capital and revenue budget of around £20M.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience delivering affordable housing projects with the ability to communicate with the public in accurate spoken English.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Successful collaboration with partners and stakeholders in housing development.

Location and Working Arrangements

Based in Welwyn Garden City with flexible working arrangements and access to electric pool cars. Local Government pension scheme and generous annual leave apply.
