Job Description - Housing Concierge (25656)

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary: £24,638 per annum [pro rata], plus excellent benefits including health cash plan

About the Role

Join us as a Housing Concierge at The Sycamores, our new extra care service in Woodlesford. This community offers amenities like a café, hair salon, activity rooms, and gardens, providing a supportive environment for over 55s to live independently with assistance nearby. Your role will be essential in maintaining safety and community spirit, especially during weekends.

Responsibilities
  1. Monitor safety through CCTV and regular patrols to ensure a secure environment.
  2. Greet visitors and enforce community rules to promote a harmonious living space.
  3. Address maintenance issues by coordinating with managers and contractors.
  4. Collaborate with the care team to support residents as needed.
  5. Maintain detailed reports and logs of shift activities for continuity.
  6. Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages community and neighborly relations.
Candidate Profile
  • Friendly, calm, and practical with a keen eye for safety concerns.
  • Comfortable using technology for logging, CCTV, and communication, without requiring advanced technical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Warm personality that makes residents feel comfortable.
  • Experience in housing, support, customer service, or safety is preferred but not essential.
Additional Details
  • Willing to work weekend shifts on a rota, including bank holidays.
  • Shifts typically from 8am–4pm or 3pm–11pm.
  • Must undergo an Enhanced DBS check, which we will fund.
