Job Description - Housing Concierge (251180)

Location: Guildford, Surrey

Type: Permanent, Part-time (17 hours/week), Saturday and Sunday, 7am-4pm

Salary: £12.60 per hour or £24,638 per annum [pro rata] with benefits including Health Cash Plan

Overview: We’re seeking a dedicated Supported Housing Weekend Concierge to join our team. At Home Group, we support vulnerable customers, including those with complex needs. Your role will be to ensure safety, security, and a welcoming environment for our residents and neighbors.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage building health and safety, including patrolling, checking fire doors, and securing premises.
  • Respond promptly to situations, investigate suspicious activity, and raise alarms when necessary.
  • Assist with maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the premises.
  • Act as the first point of support for residents when other teams are unavailable.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Calm under pressure with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience or interest in supporting vulnerable populations.
  • Sociable, attentive to detail, and able to observe behavioral changes.
  • Confident in intervening sensitively when needed.
  • Team player capable of working independently, with support from the wider team including out-of-hours emergency support.

Additional Information:

  • Working hours: Saturday and Sunday, 7am-4pm, including holidays like Christmas and Easter.
  • Some lone working involved; team training and meetings are available.
  • Enhanced DBS check required; paid for by us.
