Reporting to: Housing Capital Programme Manager
Contract: Hybrid

Role Overview:
This role is perfect for those who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about making a tangible difference in the community. As a Housing Capital Programme Contract Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality improvement projects to 5,600 landlord properties within the Housing Revenue Account (HRA). With an annual budget of approximately £20m, your work will directly impact the lives of residents by ensuring their homes are safe, compliant, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee large, complex projects within the social housing sector, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Lead communication with tenants, residents, public groups, and Elected Members to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Contract Management: Facilitate and direct activities by external contractors to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets for allocated contracts, ranging from £10k to £3m, ensuring cost-effective delivery.
- Health and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with relevant health and safety legislation and best practices.

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIOB) or extensive experience in the construction sector.
- Good general standard of education (minimum GCSE standard or equivalent, including English and Mathematics).
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Detailed knowledge of building contract forms, construction-related health and safety legislation, and best practices in project management, including PRINCE2 methodology.

Desirable:
- Full membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIOB).
- Degree-level qualification in a construction or related field.
