Job summary

Pinnacle Group is recruiting a Housing Assistant to provide comprehensive support and administration for regional housing services. The role involves planning, scheduling and monitoring Housing Officer appointments, with a hybrid working pattern and some travel.

The successful candidate will operate in a fast-paced housing management environment, producing clear reports and handling complex issues while liaising with managers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in fast moving, front line housing management environment.
  • Ability to produce and present comprehensive professional reports clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to use initiative and make accurate and timely decisions whilst under pressure.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse data and performance information, identifying issues and resolution required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in following up unresolved issues from the occupancy cycle (voids) and ensure action items are completed.
  • Coordinate, administer and monitor Housing Officer appointments/diaries, and manage short notices and long‑term planning with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to management and allocation of garages as required.
  • Provide up-to-date local information for families to improve experiences in new areas and housing facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records in all operational systems and templates.
  • Raise, report and monitor health and safety concerns impacting service families’ lived experience.
  • Administer and support regional teams with follow-on in occupancy enquiries (AND A, ASB, etc.).

Pinnacle Group are looking to recruit a Housing Assistant to provide a comprehensive support and administration service for regional and area housing services. As well as administering and supporting area housing services, the Housing Assistant role will be central to the success of the team by planning, monitoring, scheduling and management of Housing Officer appointments/diaries.This is a hybrid role which may include travel to other areas. The working hours are Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm.Our Home Services team plays a crucial role as part of Pinnacle Service Families, our largest contract managing 49,000 military family homes on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. Key responsibilities:
  • Assist in following up unresolved issues as a result of the occupancy cycle (voids) e.g. checking any items raised at pre move in are completed by RAMS if HO is attending another appointment.
  • Coordinate, administer and monitor Housing Officer appointments/diaries including short notices changes and long-term planning liaising with the area manager and other stakeholders as required.
  • Contribute, lead and support as required in the management and allocation of garages
  • Provide and keep up to date local information for families to improve their lived experience and introduction to a new area with the associated facilities
  • Complete and maintain accurate and detailed records in all operational systems and templates
  • Contribute to ensuring families and the places that they live receive a comprehensive and holistic patch service by raising, reporting, and monitoring to a successful conclusion any health and safety concerns, issues which impact on service families lived experience in their homes and or the areas they live in.
  • Administer and support regional teams with follow on ‘in occupancy’ enquiries such as aids and adaptations (ANDA), permissions, squatters, abandonment, ASB and referrals to other agencies

  • Ability to work in a fast moving, pressurized, front line housing management environment dealing with complex issues and competing priorities
  • Ability to produce and present comprehensive professional reports clearly and concisely to a diverse audience
  • Ability to use initiative and make accurate and timely decisions whilst under pressure.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse data and performance information, identifying issues and resolution required.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels in both individual and group situations.
