Job Description:

Permanent, Full Time

Reporting to the Housing and Wellbeing Manager, the Housing and Wellbeing Officer is responsible for working with customers to promote and maximise their independence, assisting them to move on to greater self-reliance within a customer-focused environment and in line with the Independence and Wellbeing framework.

What you’ll be doing
  • Assist customers in identifying their strengths, development needs, and risks, and develop plans to address these, including coaching for greater independence.
  • Help customers access other agencies and community services.
  • Attend and coordinate Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) with professionals such as Adult Social Care and Safeguarding to make joint decisions on care and support.
  • Coach and assist customers to understand and maintain their occupancy agreements.
  • Encourage feedback, and record and respond to complaints and compliments.
  • Handle safeguarding concerns promptly according to guidelines.
  • Manage tenancy issues, including voids, repairs, allocations, rent collection, aids and adaptations, ASB, and breaches of occupancy agreements.
  • Perform Health and Safety duties as directed, adhering to company procedures.
What you’ll need
  • Relevant professional qualifications or memberships (e.g., Institute of Customer Service qualification) or willingness to study towards.
  • Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths.

  • Empathy and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Experience in Housing Management and a strength-based approach are desirable.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and confidentiality skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
