Job description

Housing Advice & Homeless Prevention Officer (Hybrid) needed in Uxbridge, £21ph

PAYE - RQ1526444

The candidate will be part of the Housing Options Rough Sleepers Team, responsible for completing assessments, carrying out prevention and relief work, and managing a varied caseload. Knowledge of Part VII Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act, and other relevant legislation is required, along with experience in homelessness inquiries, casework, and drafting s184 decision letters.

Candidates should demonstrate practical experience in delivering services within a pressured Housing Options environment and managing multiple demands and pressures.

Flexible working arrangements are available. The candidate should expect to be office-based 50% of the time after completing an induction period, which typically lasts two to four weeks depending on competency. Office hours are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
