The London Borough of Hillingdon is seeking a proactive and empathetic Housing Advice & Homeless Prevention Officer to join their Central Services team during a critical period of increased demand.

About the Role

This SO2-level position focuses on supporting British Citizens arriving from overseas territories—including The Chagos Islands—as part of government-backed resettlement schemes. You\'ll work closely with the resettlement support team at the Civic Centre, providing tailored housing advice and implementing prevention strategies to reduce homelessness risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality housing advice and homelessness prevention services
  • Support resettlement efforts for individuals arriving under government schemes
  • Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to secure sustainable housing solutions
  • Maintain accurate casework records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
