About The Role

Are you an enthusiastic, reliable and customer focused individual?

Would you like to be a part of a very busy and demanding service that is highly rewarding? The Housing Adaptation Service designs and delivers aids & adaptations to our properties to empower our residents to remain independent and enable them to access their home.

If so, this could be the role for you!

You will be the main point of contact for our residents who are waiting for adaptations to their home or need a Housing Occupational Therapy / Housing Assessment. You will support our residents through the adaptation process and provide regular updates on the progress of the works whilst supporting them and identifying any additional needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the arranging / ordering of equipment as requested by the Occupational Therapist and complete a follow up review and record the outcome. You will visit people in their homes prior to and during the works to ensure works are progressing and there are no issues.

Ensuring all tenancy management and asset management systems are up to date and relevant records are maintained. You will also provide additional support where need be and signpost our residents to internal or external services when required.

You will also form part of an effective working partnership with Healthcare professionals and external agencies.

About You

About The Team You’ll Be Working In

Ideally you will have experience of working in a similar environment/service where you are supporting vulnerable people and delivering adaptations.

You’ll be a ‘people person’ with the ability to communicate key messages effectively and be able to deal with demanding and challenging situations.

You’ll have knowledge of /Experience in Safeguarding, Adaptations and Housing Management.

You’ll have knowledge of/ experience working in support services and have an awareness / understanding of, Building safety, compliance, Building Regulations (Part M).

You’re good at problem solving and delivering an effective and inclusive customer focused service
