Job summary

Lime Wood Hotel in Lyndhurst, England, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and uphold exceptional cleanliness across the hotel. The role involves hands-on supervision, stock control, and maintaining hygiene standards within a boutique 33-bedroom setting.

The successful candidate will be experienced in similar roles, able to motivate staff, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping supervision or similar role is essential.
• Physically demanding role requiring standing and moving furniture and linens.
• Proactive and motivated attitude to deliver high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Proactive and hands-on approach to support the housekeeping team from the front-line to deliver exceptional cleanliness across all hotel areas.
• Ensure understanding and application of hygiene legislation and best practices.
• Report to management on room preparation and cleanliness of bedrooms and public areas.
• Lead by example and guide Room Attendants & Linen Porters to provide friendly, efficient service.
• Assist Head and Assistant Head Housekeeper with stock control and ordering.
• Report snags and room maintenance needs, liaise with maintenance as required.

We are currently looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to support our dedicated housekeeping team at the award winning, Lime Wood Hotel.

About the role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Proactive and hands on approach, supporting our housekeeping team from the front-line to deliver exceptional levels & standards of cleanliness across all areas of the Hotel.
• A good understanding of hygiene legislation and best practise.
• Reporting to management with regards to the preparation and cleanliness of all bedrooms and hotel public areas.
• Lead by example. Guiding our Room Attendants & Linen Porters in providing a friendly and efficient service.
• Support our Head and Assistant Head Housekeeper with stock control and ordering.
• Report any snags or required room maintenance. Making sure all rooms are in good order, liaising with the maintenance team as/when required.

About you:

Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or within a similar role is essential. Please note, this role is a physically demanding role, requiring you to be on your feet throughout. Lifting and manoeuvring of furniture and heavy linens will be required. You must have a proactive and motivated attitude towards providing high standards of service.
