Overview

Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve are currently looking to recruit a permanent Housekeeping Supervisor to work within our luxury short breaks accommodations. The role will see you working in picturesque, historic surroundings, within a friendly, vibrant team. Closing Date: 3 October 2025.

Salary: £12.32 per hour, Plus Desirable Benefits. Minimum of 30 hours a week, permanent position.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Housekeeping, you will ensure accommodation units and surrounding public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. You will also oversee a team of housekeepers, to ensure standards are met and delivered within set timeframes. All units will need to be ready for check in; including making sure room browsers are in place, mini bars are stocked, special requests are in place, TV welcome screens are operating, and all maintenance issues have been addressed. You will also need to ensure Opera is updated efficiently with room status for all rooms, facilitating early check ins wherever possible. You will train our housekeeping assistants on cleaning methods and COSHH. You will visit, inspect and assist housekeepers where necessary within each area of responsibility to meet standards and deadlines. You will also be responsible for keeping linen, storage areas, equipment and cleaning stock tidy and fully stocked.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior housekeeping role and previous experience of managing a team. You will have a clear understanding of SOPs, implementation, and development, ensuring that the team understand and adhere to these. You will have great leadership skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure. A full valid driving license is essential for this position, as you will be required to travel to various accommodation areas around the park.

Contract Details

The role requires the successful candidate to work a minimum of 30 hours a week, providing cover from Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays and school holidays. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location. All applicants must have right to work in the UK.
