Overview

VANRATH is delighted to be assisting an award-winning bespoke Visitor & Events Management company in the recruitment of a Housekeeping Service Manager for their Belfast site.

This position can be worked over a 30 hour week or 40 hour week or between 30-40 hours dependent on the candidate's working hours preference.

Permanent position.

Salary

£35,000 + other Fantastic Additional Benefits (Top Company) & Growth Opportunities

Responsibilities

The role will be more focused on supporting standards of housekeeping (e.g. audits of building areas etc) and project planning across the business, but there will be a small element of hands on housekeeping and realistically if the team are short for any reason the successful candidate will need to get their sleeves rolled up and help out.

  • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance throughout the interior and exterior of the building and tourist attraction to enhance the visitor experience.
  • Manage the entire housekeeping team, including the Supervisor, Team Leader, permanent staff, and casual crew.
  • Oversee effective rostering, planning, and scheduling to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Operations and Facilities Manager to maintain all areas of the venue.
  • Manage operational supplies and coordinate the seamless delivery of internal refreshments.
  • Lead, develop, and support the housekeeping team to promote operational excellence.
  • Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations in a fast-paced environment.
The Ideal Person
  • At least 2 years' experience as a housekeeping services manager or similar role within a fast-paced public environment.
  • At least 2 years' experience leading and developing diverse teams.
  • Skilled in cleaning and janitorial services, recognized expertise in soft service management, particular in specialist housekeeping practices.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with external cleaning and facilities contractors.
