Job summary

Village Hotels is seeking a dynamic leader to head the housekeeping department, driving cleanliness, presentation and guest experience across all rooms and public areas. You will report to the General Manager and implement the housekeeping strategy to achieve budgeted performance while upholding high standards.

Key focus on inspirational leadership, cost control, brand quality, stock management, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Inspirational Leadership: Managing and developing the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, Team Leaders, and wider team while setting clear expectations and accountability.
• Commercial Control: Managing payroll percentages, tracking labour efficiency, and controlling costs across linen, cleaning materials, and in-room replacements.
• Brand Quality Assurance: Executing regular room and public area inspections to ensure consistent delivery of brand standards and score targets.
• Stock & Inventory: Overseeing linen control, par levels, stock ordering, and managing relationships with external suppliers and laundry contractors.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensuring absolute compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and COSHH regulations across all operations.

Your focus is to lead the housekeeping department in delivering exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and guest experience standards across all guest rooms and public areas. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will execute the housekeeping strategy to achieve budgeted commercial performance while maintaining consistently high operational standards. This role requires an absolute obsession with quality, efficiency, and leadership, ensuring your team is fully engaged and delivering outstanding hospitality at all times.
