Job Description
  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including room cleaning, laundry, public area maintenance, and inventory control.
  • Manage a team of 6 staff members.
  • Train, motivate, and oversee housekeeping staff, including attendants, housemen, and laundry personnel.
  • Establish and enforce cleanliness standards and procedures to uphold the facility's reputation for cleanliness and quality.
  • Create and implement housekeeping schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Handle guest complaints and requests related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities to maintain stock levels and control costs.
  • Assist in budget planning and monitor departmental expenses to meet financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, and stay informed of emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as front desk and maintenance to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare reports on departmental performance, employee progress, and issues requiring attention.
  • Participate in recruitment, performance management, and employee evaluation processes.
The Successful Applicant
  • 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping or facilities management, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to foster a positive, teamwork-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Flexibility to work hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
