We are currently looking for a passionate Floor Supervisor to join the team here at Bankside Hotel - Voted one of the 'Best Places to Work in Hospitality' 3 years in a row. MAIN SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Floor Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining guest rooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in general in a clean and orderly manner. This includes coordinating daily housekeeping operations and maintaining the housekeeping operating standards during any shift, which includes early, evening, and office coordinator duties, as well as delivering excellent guest service.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for the performance of room attendants, house porter, and linen porter.
  2. Supervise room attendants.
  3. Organize and facilitate the room cleaning process.
  4. Daily allocation of rooms and deep cleaning tasks to team members.
  5. Confirm all housekeeping staff members have arrived or find substitutes for absent employees.
  6. Prepare and distribute the Room assignment sheet and floor keys to room attendants.
  7. Responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors, and pantries.
  8. Check the occupied and departure rooms, giving special attention to guest needs.
  9. Manage guest requests, including VIP amenities and communicate them to the relevant team members.
  10. Inspect all guest bedrooms to ensure they meet standards.
  11. Aware of all room categories and amenities.
  12. Achieve positive outcomes from guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  13. Deal with lost property, as per correct procedure.
  14. Report maintenance issues to the maintenance department.
  15. Carry out any on-job training requirements. Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
  16. Work flexible hours in accordance with the departmental rota.
  17. Protect guests and colleagues' security by never revealing any personal information or room numbers.
  18. Have knowledge of room types, other facilities, and guest services within the hotel.
  19. Carry out any other reasonable request as directed by the head housekeeper.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  1. To provide a friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.
  2. Basic computer operating skills.
  3. Team worker.
  4. Must be able to work within a busy customer-oriented environment with an excellent eye for detail. Ability to ensure high standards are maintained and exceeded on a daily basis.
  5. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
  6. Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
  7. Ability to work under pressure.
  8. Positive attitude.
  9. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
