Responsibilities

• Consistently delivering and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, room preparation and presentation throughout the estate, including deep cleaning exercises
• Taking pride in cleanliness, presentation and hygiene of allocated rooms, corridors, service and public areas
• Restocking and replacing items in guest rooms, bathrooms and public areas
• Servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms by order of floor/section; making beds following procedures; cleaning surfaces and floors
• Vacuuming bathrooms, bedrooms, floors, corridors, stairs and lifts; maintaining cleaning materials
• Interacting with guests in a warm, professional and helpful manner to exceed expectations

We are currently seeking a committed, conscientious and diligent Housekeeping Attendant to join our Accommodation Services team.

The shift patterns for this role are 9am to 3.30pm (Mon to Sat) and 10am to 4.30pm (Sun), working 5 days from 7.

The on target earning potential for this role is £16.02 / per hour - comprising a base hourly rate of £13.52, plus a qualified estimate of £2.50 per hour in gratuities and service charge.*

Here’s a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

• Consistently delivering and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, room preparation and presentation throughout the estate, including deep cleaning exercises
• Taking huge pride in ensuring the cleanliness, presentation and hygiene of your allocated rooms, corridors, service and public areas are always achieved
• Restocking and replacing items in guest rooms, bathrooms and public areas, making sure our guests have everything they need, in advance of their arrival or return to their room
• Servicing our guest bedrooms and bathrooms by order of floor/section; making beds professionally following our procedures clearly and attentively; cleaning all surfaces and floors; showers, baths, basins, bidets, and toilets, all of this to the highest standard
• Vacuuming bathrooms, bedrooms floors, corridors, stairs, and lifts to remove all debris; checking the vacuum cleaner each week; expertly using the correct cleaning materials for each particular task
• Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way

The kind of person we're looking for:

• Ideally, you'll have previous experience within a similar role though full training is offered; you'll also be available to work a flexible schedule
• Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
• You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
• A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail
• You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way
• You'll be required to complete standard forms to record events on a regular basis and interact with our guests so a strong grasp of English language, both written and spoken, are essential; additional languages would also be beneficial!
