Housekeeper - Exeter

Hourly Rate: £12.50

Working Hours: 10am – 6pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays; 9 hours per week

Vita Student's offers innovative apartment designs with a variety of studios to suit students' lifestyles, providing privacy or shared living. We combine style, luxury, and comfort with premium amenities and vibrant city life. We are expanding our housekeeping team with an experienced Housekeeper to deliver a luxurious, home-from-home cleaning service for our residents’ studios while maintaining our high standards of site and facilities management.

Our Housekeepers

Provide exceptional, personalized room cleaning services to students, ensuring studios are maintained to a clean, healthy, and presentable standard. Tasks include, but are not limited to; dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, antibacterial cleaning of surfaces, and making beds, following designated schedules.

  • Ensure facilities are respected by students and guests.
  • Maintain the upkeep of our premium site and facilities.
  • Address issues or challenges proactively.
  • Serve as a point of contact for incidents or emergencies onsite.
  • Manage waste areas in compliance with health and safety regulations, addressing hazards as needed.
  • Use a smartphone/tablet to record and manage each studio clean, including photographing before and after cleaning.
  • Report any concerning behavior of students indicating welfare issues.
  • Monitor cleaning stock levels, communicate needs, and assist in stock ordering.
  • Follow COSHH regulations when handling cleaning chemicals to ensure safety.

    • Experience in large, multi-room residence facilities such as hotels, hospitals, or accommodation buildings.
    • Technologically proficient with various software and systems.
    • Good understanding of COSHH regulations and practices.

    • Excellent communication skills; multilingual skills are a plus.
    • Adaptability, creativity, positivity.
    • Resilience and ability to handle unexpected situations.
    • Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing and repetitive movements, with reasonable adjustments if needed.
    • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 operation, including holidays and religious festivals, with some schedule flexibility.
