Bupa UK is seeking a Part-time Housekeeping Assistant at Shockerwick House Care Home near Bath. The role involves maintaining high cleanliness standards, assisting in resident areas, and supporting the housekeeping team to keep the home welcoming and safe.

Job Description

Housekeeping Assistant

Location: Shockerwick House Care Home, Lower Shockerwick, Bath BA1 7LL

Contract: Permanent - Part Time

Hours: 18 hours per week

Salary: £13.30 - £14.30 per hour

CQC rating: Good

This role requires you to have your own transport due to the homes location

Shockerwick House is an historic building that has been lovingly converted into a care facility, offering nursing and residential care, convalescence, palliative, short stays for a minimum of one week and day care.

The home is located on the outskirts of Bath's World Heritage Site. The magnificent 17th century house is set in twelve acres of wheelchair friendly gardens, with an orangery and vegetable plot. The beautifully appointed rooms offer plenty of areas for residents to relax or socialise in. The home has a secure entry and exit system and a 24-hour call system so that residents feel safe and secure. All bedrooms have their own TV and telephone.

You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen By

• You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home, working closely with our other housekeeping and maintenance staff
• Always ensuring our residents are kept happy, you will vacuum, mop floors, polish and generally ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and our resident's bedrooms
• You'll maintain housekeeping stocks for day to day use and raise any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor as you go

Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role

You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you'll be comfortable multitasking and where necessary, working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their home.
