Job summary

La Fontana Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment and support laundry services. You will clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.

You will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, work alternating weekends, and contribute to a well organised, respectful environment.

• Good communication skills are important.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing, ensuring items are labelled and handled with care.
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures to perform tasks safely and efficiently.

As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing. You will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care. Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
