Our Housekeeping Manager is looking for an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager as their second in charge to work with a team of six supervisors and up to 45 housekeeping attendants across 255 rooms, spread across the Hermitage hotel, lodge, and motels.

Working closely with the Front Office Team and housekeeping leadership, you will help drive hotel standards, create amazing first impressions, and an unforgettable experience for guests by ensuring consistent execution.

What you will be doing:

  • Act as 2IC to the Housekeeping Manager, providing leadership and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with the Housekeeping Manager to recruit, induct, and lead staff to deliver operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain open communication with all Departments to optimise the guest experience.
  • Encourage staff development by recommending staff for development and training.
  • Write rosters to stay within an allocated budget.
  • Ensure all public areas are clean and well maintained.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Demonstrate at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in housekeeping operations, in a comparable environment.
  • Demonstrable capability in providing high-quality guest experience and responding to guest complaints.
  • A track record of implementing consistent processes and standards.
  • Able to coach and develop team members in best practices, as well as address performance issues.
  • A Degree is preferred.

The role and benefits:

  • Full-time permanent position, working a minimum of 60 hours per fortnight.
  • $37 - $40 per hour.
