Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant at Winchester Heights Care Home in Winchester, Hampshire. You will deliver high standards of personal care as part of a caring team, supporting residents with daily activities and ensuring continuity of service.

No prior experience necessary as a thorough induction and training programme is provided to build confidence and competence in your role.

Qualifications

• Experience not required; induction and training provided.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Respect residents and others in the home.
• Flexible to cover short-notice tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene to uphold independence, dignity and respect.
• Identify and respond to clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls or infections.
• Be courteous to residents and visitors, maintaining dignity and individuality.
• Follow safe systems of work across all tasks.

About The Role
Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
Other Responsibilities Will Include

• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escape any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
