Job description

This is a temporary Housekeeping Assistant role at Avery Healthcare in Leicester. The role involves ensuring high standards of cleanliness and laundry maintenance in the care home, while treating residents with dignity and respect.

Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will work as part of a team to maintain the cleanliness and laundry standards in the care home. This includes carrying out cleaning duties according to instructions, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials, and ensuring a well-presented and well-maintained environment for the residents. You will be expected to demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping and laundry services.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
