Job description

The Housekeeping Assistant will work as part of a team, ensuring all standards of cleanliness and laundry be maintained in the home, following our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry. The role involves carrying out cleaning duties, understanding cleaning requirements, ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect, and maintaining hotel service standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensure that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

About you

You will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all you do. You will have the following:

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high‑quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
