This Housekeeping Assistant role at Avery Healthcare in Bracknell offers a temporary opportunity to join a caring, supportive team that is committed to providing exceptional care to residents. Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with instructions, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials, and ensuring that all areas are well-presented and maintained. You will also treat residents with dignity and respect, and protect their personal space and belongings. The role requires knowledge of health and safety, particularly moving and handling, fire safety, and COSHH assessments, as well as experience in cleaning and laundry in a public setting.

Your focus as Housekeeping Assistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

  • Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
  • Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

  • DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
