Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join our caring team in the home. You will help maintain cleanliness and laundry to hotel service standards, working with colleagues to support residents daily.

We value compassion and reliability, and you will follow our SOPs to ensure safe, respectful care and presentation of all areas within the home.

In addition, you will need Health and Safety knowledge, flexibility to cover tasks, and a DBS check prior to appointment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
