Job summary

Guild Care’s Caer Gwent in Worthing is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, comfortable environment for residents. You’ll perform thorough cleaning across the home, dusting, sanitising bathrooms, and assisting with laundry while supporting resident wellbeing.

No experience is required as full training is provided. The role offers a fixed daytime rota, contracted 15 hours per week, every other weekend, with hours from 9am to 2pm.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a care home setting with residents.
  • Able to obtain DBS check.

Responsibilities

  • Providing thorough, high‑quality cleaning across all areas of the home.

  • Maintaining spotless floor surfaces, carpets, bathrooms, and communal areas.
  • Replenishing toiletries and essential cleaning supplies.
  • Supporting laundry duties and assisting residents who wish to participate.
  • Reporting maintenance concerns or issues relating to residents’ belongings.
  • Following safe working practices, including COSHH and infection‑control guidelines.
  • Taking part in team meetings and ongoing training.

Hours & Shift Pattern

Contracted Hours: 15 hours a week, every other weekend
Shift Time: 9am–2pm

Day Rates
  • £12.71 per hour (Mon–Fri)

  • £13.34 per hour (Sat)

  • £13.98 per hour (Sun)
