Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, maintaining a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly and clearly labeling items.
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures to ensure tasks are carried out safely and efficiently.
• Contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where residents feel respected and supported.

About Appleton Manor Care Home Our 58 bedded home provides nursing and residential dementia care.

Located in Bredbury, on the outskirts of Stockport, Appleton Manor Care Home is a purpose built home offering a welcoming environment for colleagues to work as part of a caring team.

Housekeeping Assistant Contract £13.45 - £13.95 per hour Contracted to 0hrs hours per week Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Role Overview As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services.

This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.

Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently.

Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.
