Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group in the UK is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to join the team at Butlers Mews Care Home in Rugby. You’ll work as part of a friendly team, delivering high standards of cleanliness and laundry, and supporting residents with dignity and respect in a homely care setting.

You will follow our housekeeping procedures, handle cleaning tasks with care, have knowledge of health and safety, and be adaptable to cover a range of duties at short notice.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
• ADBS Disclosure check will be met by Avery Healthcare.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

• Carry out all cleaning duties in line with worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and keep areas well presented.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect, preserving personal space and belongings.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected..
