Job summary

Care Concern Group’s Hesketh Park Lodge Care Home in Southport, Merseyside, is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. The role includes cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas, and supporting laundry tasks with careful labelling and handling.

You will follow infection control and health and safety procedures, work well with the team and on weekends on alternate schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing. You will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care. Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 30 hours per week
