Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm Housekeeping Assistant for Darwin Court Care Home in Lichfield. You will work as part of a team to maintain high cleanliness and laundry standards, following standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry.

We value compassion, respect and accountability, with duties including cleaning according to worksheets and ensuring residents’ personal space is respected. An ADBS disclosure check and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety principles including Moving & Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a care or public setting.
• Ability to adapt to a range of responsibilities with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and laundry standards in the home according to SOPs.
• Carry out cleaning duties and laundry tasks as instructed by worksheets.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and their space is respected.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected..
