Job summary

London Bridge Hospital is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our Hotel Services team. You will help maintain patient rooms, clinical areas and shared spaces to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation, enabling a calm and hygienic environment for recovery.

This permanent, full-time role offers shifts between 08:00 and 20:00, five days out of seven including weekends, and a competitive benefits package including pension, health cover and career development

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you'll be a key contributor to the overall patient experience, supporting both care delivery and hospital operations through your attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Day to day, your work will include cleaning patient rooms, public areas and staff spaces, ensuring every area is safe, tidy and presentable. No two days are ever quite the same, and you'll work closely with clinical and non‑clinical colleagues to support the smooth running of the hospital. This is a hands‑on, rewarding role where your work is immediately visible and genuinely valued, offering the opportunity to make a difference every single day.

  • You'll be passionate both patient care and cleanliness - someone who is able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
  • You'll also be comfortable working in a hospital environment and coming into contact with patients.

  • To perform any tasks specifically assigned to you.
  • To carry out any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or designee.
  • Attend mandatory training on annual basis.
