King Edward VII's Hospital in London is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant for our Bank staff. You will maintain cleanliness in patient rooms and public areas, support infection prevention, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or hotel services experience, ideally in healthcare.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Understanding of infection prevention and cleanliness standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible to work bank shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout patient rooms, clinical areas, offices and public spaces.
• Prepare and maintain patient bedrooms to a high standard.
• Clean and replenish bathrooms and communal areas per infection control procedures.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from patients and hospital departments.
• Safely dispose of waste and manage laundry in line with hospital policies.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and consumables as required.
• Adhere to health and safety, infection control and COSHH guidelines.
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to support patient experience.

We are looking for dedicated and reliable Housekeeping Assistants to join our Bank team, supporting our hotel services function and helping maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for patients, visitors, and colleagues. This flexible bank opportunity allows you to work shifts that fit around your availability while gaining valuable experience within a prestigious private healthcare setting.

How You'll Help Us Make Health Happen

• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout patient rooms, clinical areas, offices, and public spaces.


• Ensure patient bedrooms are prepared and maintained to a high standard, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment.


• Clean and replenish bathrooms, washrooms, and communal areas in accordance with infection prevention and control procedures.


• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from patients and hospital departments.


• Safely dispose of waste and manage laundry activities in line with hospital policies.


• Replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and consumables as required.


• Adhere to all health and safety, infection control, and COSHH guidelines.


• Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams to support an outstanding patient experience.

What You'll Bring
