Job summary

Lakelands Lodge Care Home in Fleetwood is hiring a Housekeeping Assistant on a full‑time contract. You will clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, and assist with laundry to a high standard of hygiene. Contracted to 30 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with paid DBS, pension and uniform provided.

Alternate weekends required. We value a positive, reliable attitude and strong attention to detail, whether working independently or as part of a team to maintain a welcoming environment

Set in the historic Victorian town of Fleetwood, Lakelands Lodge is a modern, purpose-built home offering residential, nursing, and dementia care for up to 78 residents. With stunning views over a tranquil boating lake and the Irish Sea, our location provides an inspiring backdrop for the work we do every day.

Housekeeping Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 30 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
