Job Title: Housekeeper at Richmond Villages Wood Norton

Location: Richmond Villages Wood Norton, Evesham Road, Evesham, Worcestershire, WR11 4TY (SatNav WR11 4YB)

Salary: £12.40 per hour - Paid breaks and excellent Bupa benefits

Employment Type: Permanent, Part-time, 24 hours per week on shifts between 07:00-15:00 across 3 or 4 days, including alternate weekends

Role Overview

Our housekeeper is essential to our award-winning retirement village, ensuring the community remains clean, safe, and welcoming. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and supporting the well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintaining cleanliness of care home facilities, public areas, and individual properties to the highest standards.
2. Operating cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet shampooers.
3. Regularly emptying bins and sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors.
4. Cleaning carpets, upholstery, woodwork, windows, and door panels.
5. Washing, drying, and ironing residents’ clothing, bedding, and communal laundry, including for on-site care home residents.
6. Reporting safety hazards to management and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards and COSHH regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Previous experience in housekeeping or domestic cleaning, understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards. Friendly, approachable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety. Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
