Midweek and Weekends - Rate of Pay from £7.55 to £12.21 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Assistant to join the resort on a seasonal basis. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, and working as part of a small team, the successful candidate will have a flexible approach to work and will perform a variety of cleaning tasks across the resort, to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained. Candidates will work well under pressure to ensure tasks are completed on time with a commitment to providing the best guest experience at all times.

About The Role

Primary Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to work and will perform a variety of cleaning tasks across the resort, to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Be responsible for the cleanliness throughout the hotel and guest bedrooms, corridors and public areas including back of house areas.
  2. Enter and prepare the room for cleaning i.e. stripping beds, emptying bins, collecting dirty bathroom towels.
  3. Ensure that cleaning is to the company standards.
  4. Replenish guest amenities as and when required.
  5. Respond to any guest requests.
  6. Report any maintenance issues within the rooms.
  7. Replenish work trolleys and clean linen on a daily basis.
  8. Ensure cleaning is consistent in every room.
  9. Work quickly and efficiently so guests’ rooms are ready on time for arrival.
  10. Maintain high standard of personal appearance and hygiene including wearing and maintaining a clean uniform at all times.
  11. Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook including any department specific procedures such as left luggage policy.
  12. Be aware of and follow all Health and Safety procedures.

Desired Criteria

  • Basic training in Health and Safety including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
  • Knowledge of hotels and housekeeping.
  • Experience working in the hospitality industry.

Required Criteria

  • Willingness to undertake further training.
