Job description

In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.

For you, as a Housekeeping Assistant, that will mean keeping the home clean, hygienic, safe, comfortable, and welcoming. Your environment will reflect your attention to detail. Whether managing the cleaning rota or actively participating in cleaning, you'll do so with a sense of kindness.

HC-One is looking for a Housekeeping Assistant with experience, although we will provide training. You need excellent time management and organizational skills. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, and effective communication skills—both listening and instructing—are essential. You will communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the proper procedures. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns, including escalation if necessary.

We provide full training, offering a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you will enjoy a range of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:

  • Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
  • Free uniform
  • Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
  • Company pension scheme
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Group life assurance
  • Wagestream for flexible pay access
  • Award-winning learning and development
  • GP online consultations for you and your children under 16
  • Learning from experienced colleagues within a dedicated team
  • Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores
  • Free access to an Employee Assistance Programme for support with physical, mental, and financial issues
  • Recognition schemes like Kindness in Care and Long Service Awards
  • Refer a friend scheme earning up to £1000 per referral

At HC-One, we are committed to inclusivity and ensuring our workforce reflects the communities we serve. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and strive to provide a seamless onboarding experience from offer to start date.
