Skycare is seeking a reliable Housekeeping Assistant for a care home in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton. The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness standards and a welcoming environment for residents and staff, with duties spanning bedrooms, lounges and communal areas.

The position offers full-time hours (30–40 per week) at £12.71 per hour, with immediate interviews available and ongoing training opportunities. DBS may be required, and sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, hotel, care home or domestic cleaning preferred.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Positive attitude, reliability and strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, dining areas and communal spaces.
• Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the home.
• Follow infection prevention and health & safety procedures.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues when required.
• Support a comfortable, safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Work closely with the care home team to uphold outstanding standards.

Housekeeping Assistant - Care Home | Wednesfield, Wolverhampton (WV11)

We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Housekeeping Assistant to join a welcoming and well-established care home in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, West Midlands (WV11).

Location: Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, WV11
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 30-40 hours per week
Permanent Position

Main Duties:

• Cleaning residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, dining areas, and communal spaces
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the home
• Following infection prevention and health & safety procedures
• Replenishing cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance issues when required
• Supporting a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff
• Working closely with the wider care home team to ensure outstanding standards are maintained

Requirements:

1. Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, hotel, care home, or domestic cleaning experience preferred
2. Good attention to detail and ability to work independently
3. Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
4. Good communication skills
5. Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards
6. Ability to provide references covering previous employment
7. Must have the legal right to work in the UK
8. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this position
9. Applicants must hold a visa or immigration status that allows them to work in the UK and must not require sponsorship or a new visa within the next 12 months
10. Enhanced DBS may be required as part of the recruitment process
