Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeper to work within Ward F7 at The Royal Oldham Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper to provide efficient high-quality service to patients and be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities in the unit area, which includes ward kitchens and catering areas.

The post provides an exciting challenge to the successful candidate and gives the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the needs of patients, multi-disciplinary team, and relatives. You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise across multi agencies and multi-disciplinary departments. The ability to work independently and adapt to an environment of changing priorities is an essential component to consistently facilitate a patient focused approach.

Responsibilities
  • Daily organisation, maintaining stock levels, audits, and cleanliness of the environment.
  • Supporting the meals processes within the footprint of the unit, assisting with completing patient menus, preparing & serving patient breakfasts, and proving hot & cold refreshments at regular intervals.
  • Management of stock, supporting maintenance of equipment, and general housekeeping and cleaning of the unit.
  • You will be working with a fantastic and supportive team who will be happy to assist you as you settle within the team.
  • Regular feedback and one-to-one sessions will be provided by your manager to ensure that you stay happy in your job.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Essential ability to work in an orderly and systematic manner, with good literacy, IT, numeracy, communication and organisational skills.
  • Caring attitude and the ability to work effectively under direction as part of a multidisciplinary team.
