Job summary

Homes for Students is seeking a Housekeeper for Clifford House in Exeter. You will maintain a welcoming, high-standard cleaning regime for common areas to create a positive first impression for residents and visitors.

The role includes planned and reactive cleaning across student buildings, kitchens, offices, and toilets, with a 35-hour week (Monday to Friday, 9:00–16:30) and opportunities for further training and development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role in a customer-focused environment.
• Ability to contribute to targets and deliver excellent results.
• Excellent communication and ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Effective team member with a flexible approach to work and colleagues.
• Ability to undertake manual work to a high standard.
• Commitment to undergo further training through operational requirements and personal staff development.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas of the property to a high standard.
• Carry out planned and reactive cleaning in student buildings, kitchens, offices, communal and toilet areas.
• Replenish consumables to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Support summer turnaround by preparing for new intake of students.
