Job summary

SPACE Student Accommodation in St Andrews is seeking a friendly, reliable and hardworking Housekeeper for a permanent part-time role. The position runs 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, in the SPACE student community.

You will help maintain clean, welcoming spaces for residents and support the team with routine housekeeping tasks, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety across the building.

Qualifications

• Part-time role of 20 hours per week with daytime shifts (10:00–14:00), Monday to Friday.
• Permanent position in SPACE Student Accommodation, St Andrews.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining communal areas, including kitchens, corridors, study spaces and resident facilities
• Cleaning bedrooms, studios and apartments when required
• Completing room cleans and changeovers during busy periods
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the building
• Reporting maintenance issues to the management team
• Ensuring cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored safely
• Following COSHH, health and safety and company procedures
• Supporting the wider team during student arrivals, departures and other busy operational periods

SPACE Student Accommodation, St Andrews

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Housekeeper to join our team at SPACE, our premium student accommodation in St Andrews.

This is a permanent, part-time role working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, making it an ideal position for someone looking for consistent daytime hours.

As part of our housekeeping team, you will play an important role in ensuring our residents have a clean, welcoming and well-maintained place to call home. You will help us maintain high standards across the building and contribute to a positive experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Cleaning and maintaining communal areas, including kitchens, corridors, study spaces and resident facilities
• Cleaning bedrooms, studios and apartments when required
• Completing room cleans and changeovers during busy periods
• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the building
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage or concerns to the management team
• Ensuring cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored safely
• Following COSHH, health and safety and company procedures
• Supporting the wider team during student arrivals, departures and other busy operational periods

About You

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about providing a great environment for our residents.

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience would be beneficial, particularly within student accommodation, hotels, hospitality or a similar environment, but the right attitude is equally important.
