Job summary

Easthampstead Park Hotel & Wedding Venue is seeking a reliable Public Areas Housekeeper to join the team in Berkshire. The role covers cleaning and maintaining all public areas to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for guests. You will work 16 hours per week with flexibility across weekdays and weekends.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team. Previous cleaning experience is welcome, but full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented candidate preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping is an advantage but full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all hotel public areas including reception lounges corridors staircases and guest toilets.
• Ensure public areas are clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop and dust as required.
• Clean windows, mirrors and glass surfaces.
• Replenish toiletries and supplies in public toilets.
• Report maintenance issues or health and safety concerns promptly.
• Follow cleaning procedures and COSHH guidelines.
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and store it correctly.

Our grounds and mansion are also renowned for hosting stunning weddings & celebrations for up to 500 guests, boasting an enchanting wedding pavilion, resplendent original stained-glass window, a sophisticated Downshire ballroom, as well as our stunning King Suite, the largest event space in Berkshire, catering for up to 500 people.

Up to £10,574.72 per annum (£12.71 per hour) plus tips

Shifts will be working during the week & weekends, daytime & evenings, so flexibility in working hours is essential.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented Public Areas Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping team.

As a key member of the team, you will help ensure that all public areas of the hotel are clean, tidy and welcoming for our guests. You will take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, helping us create a positive first impression and ensuring every guest enjoys a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining all hotel public areas, including reception, lounges, corridors, staircases and guest toilets.
• Ensuring public areas are clean, presentable and maintained to a high standard throughout the day.
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and dusting as required.
• Cleaning windows, mirrors, glass surfaces and other fixtures.
• Replenishing toiletries, hand towels and other supplies in public toilets.
• Reporting any maintenance issues, damage or health and safety concerns promptly.
• Following all cleaning procedures, health and safety guidelines and COSHH requirements.
• Responding to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Working closely with colleagues across the hotel to maintain excellent standards.
• Ensuring cleaning equipment and products are used safely and stored correctly.
