Job Description:

We currently have an opportunity for an energetic individual to join our Ancillary Staff Team in our residential care home for older people as a Housekeeper for our home in Stowmarket, Suffolk. View our home

Our Housekeeping Team are instrumental to the upkeep of resident rooms and shared spaces and pride themselves on going the extra mile to provide an excellent service for everybody in the home.

Finborough Court is a modern and spacious home in the quiet, rural village of Great Finborough. Our staff provide residential care, dementia care and respite care for 32 residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean client rooms and common areas;
  • Help to keep the home hygienic, fresh and tidy;
  • Liaise with the Senior Housekeeper on cleaning schedules and cleaning material stock control;
  • Maintain records as required by your manager;
  • Attend meetings and training activities including fire and evacuation procedures etc. as required;
  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, you are required to perform other duties assigned by your manager from time to time that are within your capabilities.

We offer a full induction to the work and also provide other training as required by the post.

About you:
  • You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have an empathy with them;
  • You must have at least 1 years of housekeeping experience;
  • You need to be able to operate cleaning equipment in a safe and reliable manner
  • You need to be able to work independently and as part of a team in order to provide an excellent service to our residents; and
  • You must be a well-organised, practical and adaptable person.

Hours:

Weekly 16 Hours

Shifts you will cover include 7am-11am, 8-12pm and 9-1pm on weekdays and every Sunday.
