Job summary

Marcilly Recruitment’s client, a private UHNW family, is seeking an experienced Housekeeper for Oxford. Initial trial and training occur in London before relocating to Oxford, with move expected by Easter. Candidates based in Oxford or willing to relocate are welcome. The role involves meticulous housekeeping, laundry and wardrobe care, and teamwork within a private household.

Salary £55,000 gross per year plus accommodation. Start ASAP; 9 hours per day, on-site in Oxford with London training.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a housekeeper in a fully staffed private home.
• Discreet, reliable and professional.
• Comfortable around children, dogs and small pets.
• Based in Oxford or willing to relocate; excellent references.

Responsibilities

• Keep the family home immaculate with attention to fine finishes.
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care including delicate garments.
• Change beds and towels; prepare the home for guests.
• Assist with packing/unpacking ahead of travel; restock essentials.
• W ork closely with the wider household team to run the home smoothly.

Housekeeper | Oxford

Marcilly Recruitment’s client, a lovely UHNW family currently based in Prime Central London and relocating to Oxford, is seeking an experienced and professional Housekeeper to join their fully staffed private household. The Housekeeper will begin with a trial and training period at the family’s London residence before transitioning permanently to Oxford, with the move expected by Easter (timings may change). The family is happy to consider candidates already based in Oxford or willing to relocate.

Salary: £55,000 gross per annum
Benefits: Accommodation
Start date: ASAP
Hours: 9 hours per day
Location: Oxford (initial trial and training at the family’s London residence)

Housekeeper Requirements

• Experienced, hardworking and polished Housekeeper with a high standard of housekeeping
• Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a fully staffed private household is preferred
• Discreet, reliable and a genuine team player
• Comfortable around children, dogs and guinea pigs
• Based in Oxford or willing to relocate
• Excellent written and verbal references
• Right to work in the UK

Housekeeper Responsibilities

• Keeping the family home immaculate, with close attention to fine finishes and care of furniture, art and collectibles
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care, including specialist garments
• Changing beds and towels, and preparing the home for guests
• Supporting packing and unpacking ahead of family travel
• Restocking household essentials and assisting with ad hoc errands
• Working alongside the wider household team to keep the home running smoothly
