Salary: £20 gross per hour

Start Date: October

Hours Required: The role follows a four-week repeating rota:

Weeks 1-3: Monday to Friday, 1.00pm - 6.00pm (25 hours per week)

Week 4: Monday to Thursday, 7.00am - 7.30pm Friday, 1.00pm - 6.00pm (55 hours for the week)

Average across 4 weeks: 32.5 hours per week

Driver: Yes, and car provided for use on duty

Summary

A warm and welcoming family based in Hindhead, Surrey is seeking a professional and experienced Housekeeper Nanny to support their household and care for their three school-aged children. This is a daily, part-time position, offering an average of 32.5 hours per week across a four-week rota. The role involves a 50/50 split between housekeeping and nanny duties, with increased hours during one week of the month when the father travels for work.

This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a reliable and proactive individual who enjoys working in a busy yet organised family environment.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare Duties (Approx. 50%)

  • School pick-ups and occasional drop-offs (when father is travelling)
  • Sole charge of children in the afternoons
  • Supervising homework and supporting after-school routines
  • Escorting children to and from after-school activities
  • Managing school uniforms, PE kits, and schedules
  • Supporting the family with diary management and school events
  • Occasional additional hours during school holidays, by agreement

Housekeeping Duties (Approx. 50%)

  • Keeping the home clean, tidy, and organised (weekly cleaner attends Mondays)
  • Family laundry and ironing
  • Weekly or bi-weekly bed linen changes
  • Cooking healthy family meals and batch cooking for freezing
  • Running errands, including dry cleaning and food shopping
  • Walking the family dog (small breed)

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a combined housekeeper nanny role
  • Confident driver with a full, clean UK driving licence (car provided for duty use)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • First aid trained (or willingness to obtain)
  • Holds or is willing to obtain appropriate nanny insurance
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Proactive, trustworthy, and practical
  • Based within a sensible commute of Hindhead, Surrey
