Job description

We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join our team at Sycamore Court , a friendly and supportive nursing home providing high quality care to older people.

This is a part time position (24hours per week) and includes some weekend work on a rota basis.

Key Duties:

• Cleaning resident's rooms and shared areas to a high standard
• Handling laundry duties: washing , drying, ironing and returning clothing and linen
• Ensuring infection control procedures are followed
• Maintaining cleanliness, safety and dignity across the Home
• Respectfully handling residents' items

What we are looking for:

• Previous cleaning or laundry experience preferred but not essential (ideally in a care, hotel or healthcare setting)
• A caring and respectful approach to working with older people
• Good time management and attention to detail
• Reliable, flexible and a team player
• Willing to work some weekends as part of a regular rota and pick up overtime to cover for annual leave of colleagues
