  • Conduct deep-cleaning sessions as required.
  • Maintain household inventories and report maintenance issues.

Part-time Housekeeper job, Blackburn Mellor – start ASAP – 10 hours per week over 2 days - £18+per hour

Our client is looking for an experienced Housekeeper to look after a modern property in the Mellor area of Blackburn.

Main duties will include:

  • Dust, polish, and maintain all surfaces, ornaments, fixtures, and fittings.

  • Vacuum rugs, carpets, and upholstery; sweep and mop hard floors.

  • Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchen, dining, and living areas, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene.

  • Tidy bedrooms, making beds and changing bed linens as needed.

  • Conduct deep-cleaning sessions when required, with a spring-cleaning rotation scheduled annually.

  • Launder, press, and care for clothing, linens, and towels, paying special attention to fine and delicate fabrics.

  • Iron, press, and carefully fold or hang clothing and linens, ensuring appropriate storage and organisation.

  • Regularly maintain and update household inventories to ensure essential items are fully stocked.

  • Clean and set fireplaces as needed.

  • Organise and keep the main bedroom and bathroom in immaculate condition, especially when the Principal is in residence.

  • Promptly report any maintenance issues or breakages to preserve the household’s quality and functionality.

Excellent references, Enhanced DBS check essential and driver preferred.
