Requirements
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Able to demonstrate good customer service skills
  • Being able to liaise with ward staff in any regard concerning services to the patients, for instance maintenance issues, requests etc.
  • Ensure that all equipment and materials are used and stored safely in compliance with Trust regulations.
Responsibilities
  • The post-holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient equipment and supplies in the department area and ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
  • They will work independently but as an integral part of the A&E team and will be required to work closely with contractors and support service departments ensuring the delivery of stocks, equipment and minor maintenance.
  • They will monitor quality standards, report deficiencies, and take appropriate action.
  • They will have systems for accurate record keeping; this will include the maintenance of documentation and inputting of data.
